Therapy For Creatives

“Being an artist means healing your own wounds and at the same time endlessly exposing them.”
— Annette Messager
Are you a writer, crafter, musician, chef, tabletop role-playing gamer, visual artist or other creative that is sensitive to the world around you in ways that inform your art and sometimes leave you with big feelings that can be hard to navigate? Maybe you work in the film and television industry as an actor, editor, or art director and find that the hustle has dampened your love of the craft? I am passionate about helping creatives stay in touch with their creative spark, recognize opportunities for growth, and build habits that support success.
A supportive relationship can play a crucial role in the life of an artist. It takes bravery to be creative in this world and having a partner that can tune in and respond to your needs is immensely valuable. I strive to support creativity within relationships and empower individuals to recognize their needs and communicate them effectively. I support connection through encouraging partners to get curious about the experiences and perspectives of each other. If intimacy is a point of focus, I provide therapy that is sex positive and a non-judgmental.
Is your child deeply creative and frequently overcome by intense emotions? Maybe you worry that their sensitivity is causing them to experience more pain than they can handle. Maybe they are high achieving in their art and need support with the stress associated. I use a strengths based and client centered approach to help children and teens harness their artistic sensitivity and improve emotion regulation.
